Your new uniform is the Blue Cub Scout shirt.  The pack prefers the shirt to be worn with nice jeans or shorts.  We do not require the blue Cub Scout slacks, but these may be purchased and worn if you desire. Once you are a Webelos Scout, you may choose to wear the blue or khaki shirt.  Khaki is recommended if buying at Webelos age, as it can be worn on into Boy Scouts.

Options with the uniform are the hat, with one available for each rank, and the belt.  Although the belt is optional, it is recommended that you get one as the pack awards belt loops for various activities that are worn on the Cub Scout belt.

A scarf and slide is required for each rank as follows:

Tiger:  Orange scarf  and Tiger slide

Wolf:  Yellow scarf and  Cub Scout scarf slide.

Bear:  Blue scarf.  The slide remains the same as for Wolf.

Webelos:  multicolored, plaid Webelos scarf and slide with the Webelos emblem.

Patches needed:                                                   Where to place:  (If using patch glue, be sure item is positioned correctly the first time as the glue will                                                                                                                                                               stain the shirt where it makes contact. )

Left arm:   Council patch                                      Placed right on curving seam.

Pack Numerals  (152)                     Placed directly under council patch.

Right arm:  Den Number   (You are Den   )    Placed directly under flag

Left front:  World Crest Emblem                        Placed centered above pocket approx. 2 inches

from shoulder seam.

Check with the cubmaster for ‘recycled’ shirts, or the items may be purchased through the Mid-Iowa Scout Shop, 1659 E Euclid Av, Des Moines, or at www.scoutstuff.org  For more information on scout uniform, proper patch and medal placement, etc., check links available at www.usscouts.org.  For convenience, items can also be purchased at Dunham's Sporting Goods store located in Merle Hay Mall.  They are not able to help you know which patches you need quite as well as the scout shop, however.  Prices are equivalent.
