2011 Troop - Science CenterDec 31st the Troop took an excursion to the Science Center of Iowa. The Scouts started by watching the IMAX movie "Mummies: Secrets of the Pharaohs". This primer got the Scouts ready for the traveling exhibit called "Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science". The Scouts were able to do hands on activities as well as walk among 3000 year old artifacts including a real mummy called 'Annie'. The Scouts also had plenty of time to work through all of the other parts of the Science Center. Time to leave came too soon but we left for a snack at the Pizza Ranch and then home. What a day to enjoy!
