2011 Nations Bridge Campout

Nov 11-13 the Troop went camping at Nations Bridge (Guthrie County Park) just north of Stewart. Friday night we arrived after retiring the flags for Veterans Day. We set camp and then practiced our various stations in anticpation of Webelos II arrival the following morning. Saturday the Webelos II arrived and started learning skills in anticipation of entering the Troop. They worked on knots, first aid, fire and tent building, food preparation, and Leave No Trace during our hike. While dinner was cooking they all played a game of Capture the Flag. After a wonderful meal of bubble pizza, green bean casserole, and coblers we wound down with a campfire program. fun was had by all.
